Members: Elstan Leow, Zhai Xiaolei
Project Title: Brain-Controlled Game Design

A. Brief Description of Project
To design a Brian-Controlled device to help severely disabled people either practically in the form of communication devices or mentally in the form of recreational games.

B. Results
A Brain-Controlled dog able to sense to a limitted extent the user's current feelings, namely that of happiness, sadness, fear and disgust.

C. Reflection

Three content knowledge/skills that we have learnt

1. We learnt how to use Microsoft C++, which is a programme which allows us to build other programmes.
2. We learnt how to use a Brain-Computer Interface, which is what transmits data from our brain to the computer system.
3. We learnt how to design and build a robot using the materials provided within the lab.

Two interesting aspects about our learning

1. It was mostly self initiated instead of mentors telling us what to do.
2. It was very hands-on as we tested our robot and programme on ourselves.

One take-away for life

1. Nothing is really impossible if you try hard enough. A brain controlled robot seemed like something out of a fantasy novel when we first started; however we managed to build a working model at the end of three weeks of hard work.
