| Project Title: | Vietnamese Water Puppets |
A. Brief Description of ProjectOur final project was to do a turntable of 3D models of Vietnamese Waterdolls. Specifically, Pei Yi did a boy playing a musical instrument sitting on a buffalo. Samantha did a female model of a water puppet. Cheng Feng did two water puppets sitting on a sampan.
We were required to animate our model, making them move like the actual model seen at the Asian Civilisations Museum.
B. ResultsVietnamese water puppets.

Three content knowledge/skills that we have learnt
1. Using 3DSmax to model 3D objects
2. The importance of lighting in a video
3. Patience and passion for work greatly helps you in the completion of the project
Two interesting aspects about our learning
1. Our models are 3D so the dimensions must be appropriate and we have to concentrate on more than one side of the object.
2. We are able to make it move, which amuses us for hours on end.
One take-away for life
1. Never underestimate PIXAR; it's more difficult than you think to model and animate 3D objects!

This is the user interface of 3DSmax, the program which allows us to model in 3D.

This is an example of one of our assignments done by Pei Yi, we were taught the different methods to manipulate the shapes so as to make them look 3D.

This is Samantha's model of her camera.

Pei Yi's projects: the modelling of her handphone and her tablet.

Samantha's Final Project: Vietnamese Water Puppet.
